Northern Michigan Weddings

Michigan is a US state located in Great Lakes region. It is the only state that is composed of two peninsulas. The Lower Peninsula is often referred to as mitten because of its shape. The Upper Peninsula, also referred to as U.P is separated from the Lower Peninsula by the Straits of Mackinac. One must distinguish Northern Michigan from The Upper Peninsula because some are confused with regards to the two terms. Northern Michigan is properly known as Northern Lower Michigan. It is located in the upper portion of the Lower Peninsula. This place is a popular tourist destination because all outdoor activities and forest related activities are available in this area. Tourism composed a huge chunk of their economy.

Northern Michigan includes three forests: Mackinaw State Forest, Pere Marquette State Forest and Au Sable Forest. Due to the topography of the place, being near lakes, it has beautiful and breathtaking landscapes. It is the perfect getaway from the stress of life in general. Therefore it is not a surprise that most couple flock here to experience a Northern Michigan wedding.
Northern Michigan is best for nature lovers thus couple who wants to give tribute to mother nature can have a Northern Michigan weddings . The place is complete with wonderful venue for a forest or garden weddings. After the ceremony, the couple can relax with all bonding activities available in the region: camping, Sailing, kayaking, birding, bicycling, horseback riding, motorcycling, and the like. One will never get bored in Northern Michigan.
